Art Alexakis and the rest of Everclear brought '90s Alt-rock to The House of Blues for a straight ahead and fun rock and roll show.

The band is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Songs From An American Movie Vol. One and they proceeded to play five songs from that album throughout the evening.

They kicked off the show with "So Much For The Afterglow" which led to a straight ahead, no frills, yet very fun rock and roll show.

Before playing "Father of Mine," Alexakis made a little faux pas by asking "Do your remember listening to us on WMMR?" A hush went through the crowd then he realized he meant to say WMMS. He then quipped, "I'm old and frail! Do you remember listening to us on alternative rock radio?" Which brought a big cheer from the crowd.

Art and the boys were clearly having fun on stage which led to a great party vibe to the patrons in the pit.

All the big hits were played like "I Will Buy You A New Life," "AM Radio" and "Wonderful." Even some deep cuts like "El distorto de melodica" and "Strawberry" made the set.

The show ended with the sing-a-long "Santa Monica."

Marcy Playground opened the show with a rather mundane set. The biggest reaction came from their one big hit "Sex and Candy."
