April 30, 2022

FANEXPO Cleveland returned to the Huntington Convention Center in downtown Cleveland.  Formerly known as Wizard World, FANEXPO Cleveland has something for everyone in this beautiful and very clean facility.

Cosplay seemed to be the major theme of the day as people of all ages were dressed up as their favorite characters from movies, TV shows, cartoons and anime.  Everyone seemed very friendly as people often asked the characters if they could get their picture taken with them.

Several celebrities were on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and take pictures (for various fees).  Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner was there signing autographs behind a plexi-glass barrier to help keep the ninety year old actor a little safe from germs.

However, most other celebrities like Ron Pearlman, Theo Rossi and Michael Rooker were happy to take pictures and shake hands or fist bump fans just like pre-COVID days.

There was a gaming station set up by the US Army for those in attendance who like to play video games.  There was a family area where children could partake in a variety of activities, and of course there were hundreds of vendors selling their artwork, toys, costumes and pretty much anything else that you could think of at a comic con.

This event was very well attended and was well run.  It is the perfect setting for this type of event and here's to hoping that FANEXPO Cleveland returns every year.

FANEXPO Cleveland will be open on Sunday, May 1st from 10am until 4.
