Two bands that made their mark in the late '90s and early 2000s, Lit and Fuel, shared the stage at MGM on Friday night as they are out on a co-headlining tour.

Lit hit the stage first with a fun, high energy show.  Lead singer A. Jay Popoff was all over the stage, prowling, jumping and engaging the audience.

The band tore through twelve songs in their fifty minute set that had the mostly Millennial and Gen X crowd bopping along.  Songs like "Over My Head," "Miserable" and "Everything's Cool" had many in the crowd thinking back to their high school and college days.

They did break out a new song, "Sick of Me Too" that fit nicely in the set.  A. Jay said that they feel the magic is back and they may release an album, or an EP or just singles at a time.  A surprising cover of The Cars "Let's Go" was a welcome addition and the band  killed it.

Their set closed with their biggest hit "My Own Worst Enemy" to the delight of the audience.

Fuel was next and hit the stage that was bathed in red lights.  It may be a cool effect for the crowd, but it's very difficult for photographers to get a good shot.

New lead singer, Aaron Scott sounded great while the two original members guitarist Carl Bell and drummer Kevin Miller recreated the sounds they made twenty-five years ago.

Songs like "Shimmer" and "Falls On Me" went over very well.  Just like Lit, they too had a cover song in their set.  This time it was a rocked up version of "Hotel California."

Ending the party was "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)."

It was a very fun Friday night that was fill with great, straight ahead rock and roll.
