Wolfgang Van Halen's amazing band, Mammoth WVH put on a stellar show last night at MGM.  Cleveland was their last headlining show of the year and will spend the rest of 2024 opening for Foo Fighters and Creed (which will be in Cleveland this fall.)

The MGM audience was treated to an extended set that featured tunes from both Mammoth WVH studio albums.  Although Wolf plays every instrument on both albums, in concert he focuses on singing and lead guitar.  However, he has surrounded himself with great musicians that include guitarist Frank Sidoris, guitarist Jon Jurgenson, bassist Ronnie Ficarro and drummer Garrett Whitlock.

Opening the show was "Mammoth" that was followed by "Right?"  Afterwards, Wolf took some time to thank the audience for attending and noted that playing in Cleveland is like playing with family because he exclaimed, "Cleveland rocks!"  He also remarked that it was hard to believe that Mammoth II has been out for a year.

"Stone" and "Better Than You" were flawlessly played before the band went into Mammoth's first single "Distance" that still sends chills down my spine.  It still has to be difficult for Van Halen to sing that song about the loss of his father, but fans certainly appreciate it. â€‹

The main set ended with "I'm Alright," "You're To Blame" and perhaps the best song so far in his young career, "Take A Bow."  Wolfgang showed off some fancy fretwork on that solo which definitely proved that he is indeed his father's child.

After leaving the stage for a few minutes, the band returned to the stage which led Wolf to quip, "I don't know why we do that.  We should just stay!"  The band then tore into "Don't Back Down," and the show closing "Another Celebration At The End of the World."

It was a great night of rock and roll from one of the best up and coming groups

Brkn Love opened up the show with some rockin' tunes of their own.
