Sammy Hagar and his Van Halen bandmate, Michael Anthony along with guitar wiz Joe Satriani and Jason Bonham celebrated the Van Halen legacy on a hot and steamy summer night at Blossom.

The group tore through several Van Hagar era hits like "Poundcake," "Run Around," "Right Now" and "Why Can't This Be Love."  But for the long time fans, several deep cuts were also played like "Judgement Day," "5150" and "The Seventh Seal."

The band was extremely tight as Joe Satriani nailed all of the Eddie Van Halen parts.  However, as most fans know, the secret ingredient to all Van Halen songs are the incredible background vocals of Michael Anthony.  Anthony even got to take center stage and sing the Van Halen classic, "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love."

It wouldn't be a Sammy Hagar concert without some solo Sammy hits tunes.  Of course, "Heavy Metal," "One Way To Rock," "I Can't Drive 55" and "Mas Tequilia" were also in the set.

It was a great celebration of one of the best American bands of all time.

A great Canadian band, Loverboy warmed up the audience with a nice set of their hits.
